Description
Design Socket with magnets – Bright Little Things
The Curve outlet solid surface cover plate is equipped with four strong milled-in magnets, allowing it to click securely onto the outlet insert (the electrical flush-mounted insert). The Curve designer socket is truly unique. It pairs effortlessly with the exclusive Curve design switches and also serves as a refined eye-catcher when used as a stand-alone socket.
Solid Surface for a Luxurious Look
The cover frame is crafted from high-quality Solid Surface and consists only of four round openings and a subtle recessed marking for the plug. This simplicity gives the socket a timeless appearance. Thanks to this material, it can also be perfectly integrated into custom solutions—for example, in the backsplash of a kitchen countertop, as in our collaboration with Fynez.
Grounding Pin Socket versus Protective Earth Contact
In the Netherlands, sockets with protective earth contact are most commonly used, recognizable by their two visible grounding clips (Schuko). In Belgium and France, however, the grounding pin socket is the standard.
Functionally, both systems are equivalent: they protect devices against power surges and safely divert current via the earth wire (yellow/green) to a grounding point in the fuse box. The only difference lies in the design, but all standard plugs fit effortlessly into a socket with a grounding pin.
Safety & application
The socket outlet finishing parts by Bright Little Things are designed as architectural finishing components in Solid Surface. They are magnetically mounted onto a flush-mounted socket insert with earth pin (Type E) without safety shutters.
The combination of the finishing part and the insert complies with protection class IP20 for indoor use.
These socket outlets do not incorporate an integrated socket safety shutter and are therefore not intended as child-resistant sockets. Bright Little Things products are typically applied in architectural contexts where sockets are installed above countertops or at eye level.
