Built-in parts – The Recipe

Before you start with the basic recipe, we advise you to order the finishing components through your installer for the best results.

All finishing components are dishwasher-safe and are mounted using a robust magnetic attachment. The wall outlets can also be equipped with a screw attachment.

BLT fits on many brands of stainless steel bases for built-in rotary dimmers, below are our preferred brands [with Gira and Jung being our preferred choices for quality]:

• Gira
• Jung
• Merten by Schneider
• Hager-Berker

There are also brands of rotary dimmers where the BLT finishing components do not fit:

• Busch Jeager, Niko & brands of plastic or aluminum

The BLT Collection utilizes the renowned brand Gira for switching!

Upon request, we can also manufacture for other brands, but the BLT finishing components are not compatible with the following brands:

• Jung, Busch Jaeger & Niko

As switches are among the most budget-friendly components of an electrical installation, we recommend using the built-in components of the renowned brand Gira. We have optimized our finishing components for the Gira brand.

The BLT Collection utilizes the brand Gira for pulse switching. With a pulse switch, you can, among other things, dim lighting.

Additionally, this pulse switch is compatible with Smart Home Modules, allowing you to control home automation components with a pulse switch, also known as a push-button switch.

The Gira pulse switch comes in four different versions and always operates in conjunction with a dimming module.

The dimming module can be connected behind the built-in component (in the flush-mounted box) or at another location. There are various types of dimming modules, and you can choose the one that suits your lighting or opt for a universal one.

The BLT Collection uses the Niko built-in part with a grounded socket with an earth pin as the component for the wall outlets.

Additionally, we utilize the Belgian brand Niko for the Fynez plinth and BLT Custom-made base. You have the option to choose a finishing component with or without screws.

A grounded socket with an earth pin, similar to a round-prong grounded socket, is compatible with all types of plugs.

You can choose a finishing component with or without screw mounting. The finishing components can also be installed solely with a strong magnetic attachment.

Especially for the bathroom, we offer a water-resistant version in Solid Surface.

U S B – C O N N E C T I O N S –   Bright Light, Little Twist, New Things & Confetti

The BLT Collection uses the USB A & C wall socket from Merten by Schneider. However, BLT can also supply USB finishing components for Gira and Jung.

The USB wall socket from Merten by Schneider is equipped with two USB ports (Type A and C). The USB Type-A port has a power rating of 2.4A, and the USB Type-C port has a power rating of 3A.

USB-C is mandatory for many electronic devices, such as mobile phones, tablets, headphones, and earbuds, starting from 2024. That’s why we have opted for a combination of Type A & C.
